Kathryn lives in Hamilton with her family. She loves meeting new people in both business and at Raglan beach where she used to live. Kirsten is a long-standing member of the firm, with a number of years’ experience in a range of areas. Kirsten spent too many years to count working as a Legal Executive, before having a rush of blood to the head and decided to re-train as a lawyer. Kirsten is passionate about helping people and has a knack for making stressful situations easier to navigate with her calm and compassionate nature.
Kirsten has a particular interest in civil litigation, relationship property, employment law and dispute resolution. Kirsten loves travelling, relaxing with a good book and spending time with family and friends.

Tammi works as a Legal Executive and started her Legal working career in South Africa after leaving school in 1999. She has specialised in Conveyancing for the last 16 years. Tammi moved to Hamilton from South Africa in March 2019 and started working for KJ Law in June 2019. Her husband and 2 young girls made the trip over from South Africa to join her early August 2019.
Tammi and her husband have spent many years racing motorbikes in South Africa together and are looking forward to purchasing motorbikes in New Zealand and travelling the countryside.

Louise works as Tammi’s secretary and started her Legal working career after leaving school in 1982. She qualified as a Legal Executive in 1990 and has worked in a variety of areas including residential conveyancing, commercial and litigation. Louise was born and raised in Hamilton and moved to Auckland in the late 1980’s, where she met her husband and had two children.
She eventually moved back to Hamilton in 2000 for a slower paced life. Louise and her husband live on a lifestyle block with their two grown-up sons, dog and cat. In her spare time, Louise enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and having family holidays at the family caravan in Taupo.

I am very lucky to have a job that I love with awesome people, and work in an environment that is fast paced and allows fun times as well. I have worked in the firm since 2004 and don't see myself leaving any time soon. My husband and I live on a rural block of land at Whatawhata with our gorgeous boxer dog and a few sheep. We love the country views and trees and garden that surround our house.
We have spent many years travelling the countryside, day tripping and long trips down the South Island on our motorbikes, camping rough and travelling light. Although I have just recently sold mine, I have met a lot of awesome people and have great memories that will last a life time.
These days I look forward to spending time with my adult children, and my grandchildren who just about all live close by and go to Whatawhata school half a kilometre away from our house. I enjoy gardening, music, reading and have an active interest, and am a participant in, animal welfare and improving the lives of unfortunate and displaced animals all over the world.

Geniveve is a Registered Legal Executive, having qualified in 2016 and started work at K J Law in 2017. She works with Estates, Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney as well as assisting Kathryn.
She previously worked at Hamilton City Libraries as a Heritage librarian and also works as a volunteer for community organisations. Geniveve enjoys reading, cooking shows, art, science fiction, and themed costume parties. She lives in Rototuna with her fiancé and two happy dogs.

Tracey is the newest member to join our team as a Legal Secretary. If you don’t see her, you will definitely hear her. She has a loud voice. She nearly didn’t get the job as her ‘initiation’ joke was terrible, luckily she provided cake on her first day to share, so redeemed herself.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, camping holidays and catching up with friends. She has two pre-teen children which definitely keep her occupied.

Cerise is a returning staff member who works part-time, having previously worked in the firm from 2004 to 2009. Prior to working a K J Law, Cerise has worked in Banking and other law firms.
She is the end of the line person on our busy Friday’s and makes sure our settlements run smoothly. Cerise lives on a lifestyle block of land with her daughter, schnauzer dog and cat. In her spare time, Cerise has an interest in gardening, bush walking, spending time with family, and having previously been a qualified Vet Nurse, has an interest in animals.

Jill is a part-time member of our team who works two days a week as a Deeds Administrator, ensuring our database system is up to date and all clients are catalogued and correctly tracked.
When Jill is not at the office she teaches singing at home. She is the conductor of the Hamilton Men’s Barbershop Group and also coaches men’s and women’s groups all over New Zealand. Jill lives with her partner in central Hamilton and has an adult daughter who is an emergency nurse in Auckland. In her spare time, Jill keeps busy stocking her craft market products, gardening, and helping her partner convert the gully section at their home to natives.
